My Word of the Day started as a Quote of the Day at my former job. I was the receptionist at a data center, and had use of a large whiteboard that filled the majority of a wall behind me. So every morning, I would put up a Quote and a Word, and eventually the Words became more popular and a bigger topic of conversation each day. So it is the Word of the Day that has raggedly survived on the fringes until now, when it finally has a new, solid home!
